What is offered in Emergency Evacuation coverage?

  • Hospital Companion

Offers transportation for a companion to join you in the hospital. If you are traveling alone and are in the hospital or required to be in the hospital for more than seven (7) consecutive days, Emergency Evacuation and coverage includes the benefit of transport of a Hospital Companion, chosen by you, for a single visit to and from your bedside.

  • Repatriation of Remains

Expenses incurred to return your body to the United States of America if you pass away during the trip. This benefit is provided only if authorized in advance and arranged by the insurance company or the insurance company’s travel assistance company.

  • Transportation of children

If you are hospitalized for more than seven days following a covered Emergency Evacuation, or if you pass away during the trip, the insurance company will make arrangements to bring back any minor children (under the age of 18) who were with you on the trip. They will be transported to the home of a person you have designated or someone identified as your next of kin. If needed, an attendant will accompany them to ensure their well-being during the journey.
